Career

Jakob Lindenmeyer studied from 1992 to 1996 Sciences at the University UZH and at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich (Graduation as Master of Science ETH, 1996), with focus on IT und biotechnology. After graduation, Jakob Lindenmeyer worked for 4 years as assistent in IT-research and education at the Institute of Scientific Computing at ETH Zurich. He also was project- and work package-leader in several large Framework research projects of the European Commission (FP4-FP6). In 2002 Jakob Lindenmeyer graduated from a postgraduate study in science communication at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences in Winterthur (ZHAW). 2001 he was honoured with the "Prix Media" by the Swiss National Academy of Sciences for his publications.

In 2010 Jakob Lindenmeyer graduated from law school at University of Zurich UZH (lic. iur., grade: magna cum laude). Afterwards he worked for one year as Auditor at the district court of Zurich.

Due to his know-how in science and technology and his communication skills Jakob Lindenmeyer has professional experience in the following legal areas: he worked for the leading Swiss telecommunication company, the first Swiss internet-provider, for several consulting-companies in management consulting and in IT consulting, and for several universities, research institutions and science academies. Jakob Lindenmeyer has been appointed into several regulation and standardization committees, e.g. the working group on accessibility regulation of the federal administration (since 2004) and the eCH working group accessibility in eGovernment (co-leader 2006-2010). Since 2007 he is Head of International Research at a research institute of the Swiss Federal Department of Economic Affairs DEA and Lecturer at the Allgemeine Berufsschule Zurich (ABZ).
